The general appearance is like this. There is no place for special appearance. It looks like a normal manual head. Workmanship in the plastic head is considered more refined, densely marked above the depth of field and aperture. The feel is also good, that is, the focus ring is a little loose, of course, only a little bit.
I don't know if you noticed the red dot above 2.8. That's the aperture lock. It's very practical. Because Nikon's old lenses have to use the body to adjust the aperture and complete auto focus, you must manually tighten the aperture ring to the minimum aperture. The aperture lock can lock the aperture to prevent accidental contact and the aperture adjustment is not available.
The front of the lens is very deep so that it can prevent dust from falling on the lens to a certain degree. I spent a few weeks feeling that there was not any dust in front of it.

The quality of this fixed-focus lens is very good. If you consider the price of 600 yuan, you will feel that its quality can even be described as excellent.
The sharpness of the lens is very high, even if the 1.8 is fully open, it can be used, even better than my Sigma's 17-50 2.8 50-stop full aperture. And the color of this shot is very rich, unlike Sigma's hair color is always faint.
As for purple fringing dispersion, there are many such tests on the Internet. Everyone can look for it. I will not go into details (in fact, it is because of laziness and I don't want to do more tests). I can only tell you that there is an aperture below f4. Purple edge, f1.8 is the most serious, but after receiving f2 or f2.2, the purple edge is significantly reduced, the sharpness is significantly improved, and the dispersion is almost disappeared.
The two-shot line that was passed at night was not so serious. I didn't seem to have any shortcomings in the picture quality except that the out-of-focus background was slightly scattered and the point light was not circular at the non-maximum aperture.

It is worth noting that because of the old-fashioned coating used in the lens, serious fogging occurs when light enters from a certain angle. Therefore, it is recommended that you buy a hood that is not too shady. Heavy, because the lens hood will rotate with the lens when the lens is in focus (stretch)
The Nikon 50 1.8d is without the lens motor, so pay attention to whether your body is organic motor. It may be because of the fuselage motor. In the daytime, the speed is faster, the focus is accurate, and the focus is slow. At night, the focus speed starts to slow down. Sometimes the bellows are pulled (this is the extreme low-light environment, if there is a street light, it will be much better) . Of course, I did not use this lens to fight birds, I do not know what happens when shooting moving objects, for reference.
To tell you the truth, this is the lens I like so far I like to go out with, because it's really - too light, I don't even want to screw it off the camera, compared with Sigma, hanging around my neck It feels a lot easier in an instant. And this lens is not bad at this price level, don't worry about feeding the camera, think about its price of 600 yuan, suddenly feel full of sincerity. If you are a novice, you have a Nikon camera with a body motor and you want to have a cheap, large, quality lens with a very large aperture, then 50 1.8d is your best choice, not one.
