When the comparator output state changes from low to high, the upper edge of the output pulse is differentiated by the C1/R1 chain and Q1 is turned on. During the H-state cycle time, the module comparator M passes the strobe input and the sustain output, defined by the time constant R, and Ct after C1 is charged by the current flowing through R1, Q1 is turned off, and the comparator is released.
