The first step: take a section of coaxial cable, the length of the cable will be the total length of the antenna plus the feeder, and it can be left longer.
Step 2: Measure the quarter wavelength position from the end of the feeder. The wavelength (meter) is equal to 300 / frequency (MHz). In theory, it should be multiplied by a shortening parameter of about 96%, but considering that a longer length is reserved during production, the shortening parameter is not multiplied first. If you want to make an antenna of 145MHz, the position to be measured is: 300/145 / 4≈0.52 meters; if you want to make 29.6MHz: 300 / 29.6 / 4≈2.53 meters; the length of other bands can be substituted into the calculation come out.
Step 3: Cut the sheath of the cable at the quarter-wavelength measured in the previous step, taking care not to damage the network cable.
