In this "Power Supply Tips", we continue the discussion of "Power Supply Tips 32 - Part 1", which is how to determine the leakage inductance requirements of coupled inductors in SEPIC topologies. Earlier, we discussed the case where the coupling capacitor AC voltage is applied to the coupled inductor leakage inductance. The leakage inductance voltage causes a large loop current in the power supply. In Part 2, we'll look at some of the measurements made with loosely coupled inductors and tightly coupled inductors.
