DHCP

DHCP is a type of software that automatically assigns an IP address to a client that logs in to a TCP/IP network (this type of IP address is called a "dynamic IP address"). This software is usually executed on routers and other network devices. By default, your GateLock router is set to use DHCP, so you do not need to manually assign a permanent IP address to each device on the network. It is recommended not to change this setting so that your PC can be resolved as a DHCP server.
