High-power LED considerations

(1) LED storage


1.LED optimal storage conditions: temperature 10 ° C -26 ° C humidity 40% -80 % packaging sealed and stored.


2. The maximum temperature of LED storage does not exceed 100 °C, and the lowest temperature is not lower than -40 °C.


3. After the LED inner packaging bag is opened, it must be sealed and sealed.


4. LED inner box storage should not exceed four layers, the outer box storage is best not to exceed three layers.


5. LED storage inner and outer boxes should not be in direct contact with the ground, so that the carton absorbs moisture.


6. After the LED is stored for half a year, it needs to be re-separated to prevent the LED photoelectric characteristics from changing.


(2) LED transportation


1. The LED does not exceed 3 layers during transportation to prevent it from falling and crushing.


2. LED needs to be protected from moisture and vibration during transportation.


3. It is strictly forbidden to transport with dangerous goods during LED transportation.


4. The upper layer of the outer box of the LED transportation process is strictly prohibited from stacking other goods.


5. LED transportation needs to be sealed and transported. It is strictly forbidden to transport the outer box in the atmosphere.


(3) LED application production


1. IQC must wear gloves or finger cots for inspection, the table should also be grounded, and the bag should be sealed in time to prevent oxidation of the feet and electrostatic shock.


2. When the LED is on the upper board, this process is mainly the protection of static electricity.


A: Whether the grounding wire of the equipment of the checkpoint machine before production is normal.


B: Check if the static ring of the personnel is normal, and check whether the metal of the static ring is in close contact with the human skin.


C: It is best to ask the operator to wear static gloves or electrostatic finger cots during work.


D: The working table is required to be laid with electrostatic tape. The tapes should be connected to each other.


E: After opening, it is best to use up within 24 hours, otherwise it may cause oxidation and rust of the lamp foot.


F: When the LED is clamped, the bracket body can only be touched. The tool such as the tweezers should not press the lens, and do not poke, puncture or push the lens.


3. There are three methods for welding high power: manual welding, eutectic welding, reflow soldering


A. Manual welding: Before soldering, the central metal part of the bottom of the high-power LED must be evenly coated with thermal adhesive, and the appropriate soldering iron should be selected.
The temperature at the tip of the soldering iron does not exceed 350 ° C, each soldering time is less than 3 seconds, the soldering time interval between the two electrodes is greater than 2 seconds, pay attention to the polarity of the two electrodes, the solder should reach more than 2 / 3 of the foot.


B. Eutectic welding and reflow soldering: The temperature curve of reflow soldering is shown in Figure 2. The solder is full during soldering.

When welding, the machine must be grounded. The static of the machine should not exceed 30V, and the static electricity of the human body should not exceed 50V. It is best to use thermostatic ferrochrome for manual welding. In the cold and dry environment, minimize the movement of the workshop personnel to avoid static electricity. 4. As the current increases and the temperature rises, the lifetime of the LED will decrease to a certain curve. In particular, the reverse leakage current increases with temperature, and the leakage will increase significantly, resulting in a rapid decay of LED life. Refer to our product specifications for details.


Pay special attention to the production environment of the lamp: the humidity is between 50% and 80%, and the temperature is at 10 °C.
-30 ° C, humidity is too low, easy to produce electrostatic damage to the LED. Humidity is too high, it is easy to produce capacitor discharge during the power-on process, and it is easy to break down the lamp.


5. Pay special attention when using white light:


A: Different levels of white light can not be mixed, especially the color area is different.


B: The maximum current of 0.5W can't exceed 150MA, the maximum current of 1W does not exceed 350MA, and the maximum current of 3W does not exceed 700MA.


C: The forward voltages are not at the same level and cannot be used together.
