The two buildings have a total gross floor area of ​​approximately 150,000 square meters. The construction of the headquarters building exceeded US$280 million and was completed in 2011, becoming Microsoft's largest R&D park overseas. The lighting scheme fully takes into account the psychological changes of employees during different periods of the day and different seasons, and uses the changes in color and color temperature to create a humanized lighting scheme. In order to meet the simple and bright interior decoration style, the lighting products adopt special customized hanging grille light strips, and different lengths can be customized according to different office spaces. The luminaire uses a combination of direct illumination and indirect illumination, and the light distribution of the upward and downward illumination is in two distinct ways. The light distribution on the upper light is narrower, and a light strip is formed on the ceiling, which can illuminate the ceiling and make the office space appear wide. The light distribution of the light for the batwing light distribution can improve the uniformity of the office space. It is also possible to adjust the proportion of the illuminator up and down, and set the appropriate illuminance value according to the different needs of the room.
At the beginning of the lighting design, it was considered to make full use of natural light. The curtain wall of this project is a large-area glass combined with aluminum alloy frame, which can collect natural light very well, so the power density of the lamps near the window is slightly lower and the dimming control knob can be used to adjust the indoor illumination level according to the natural light condition.
The open office uses a suspended T5 high-efficiency grille lamp combined with LED white light illumination. The grille lamps are mainly arranged in the office station, and the white LEDs are arranged in the walkway area. The LED white light used here adopts the latest LED white light technology, and the light output and light color are stable, and the color rendering index is greater than 80. Since the LED is a unidirectional illuminating light source, the luminaire efficiency of the LED luminaire is significantly improved, and the overall efficiency (LOR) of the luminaire is as high as 90%. In the actual use process, the 19W LED downlight is used to replace the 2*18W energy-saving downlight, which can maintain the ground illumination is basically unchanged, and the energy saving is close to 50%.
The front hall of the elevator uses color-changing LED lighting products, which are mainly used for decoration. The lighting of the staff restaurant is mainly made up of color-changing LED products, with decorative lighting and functional lighting. Studies have shown that people's psychology will change at different times of the day. For this reason, lighting needs to provide different color temperatures, different spectra, different illuminance/brightness, and different visual contrasts for different objects at different times. The lighting environment can be integrated with physiological needs to improve work efficiency and save energy. The LED wall washer in the lobby of the elevator will go to work in the morning, and the different colors will be presented at noon breaks and afternoon shifts, giving employees different psychological feelings.
