First batch of two E series low-power APU faces delisting

New product release, old products give way, no one can escape this circle. While the AMD Brazos E-Series APU ushered in two new E-450 and E-300 models, the first two models of the Zacate E-350 and E-240 at the beginning of the year should have taken a rest.

Both the dual-core E-350 and the single-core E-240 will stop accepting orders in the middle of the fourth quarter of this year, and will eventually stop shipping in the second quarter of 2012. Of course, the products based on these two models will still be available on the market after June next year, but they will be stocked and will no longer have new chips.

The situation of the lower-level Ontario C series should be similar. The dual-core C-60 that supports dual CPU/GPU dynamic acceleration has become the new darling of major manufacturers. The pioneering dual-core C-50 and single-core C-30 have naturally exited. The specific process estimate is similar to the E series.

The Brazos platform will be replaced by the new Deccan platform and Krishna and Wichita APU in the second quarter of 2012. In 2013, there will be the next-generation Kerala platform and Kabini APU.
