Yesterday, we came across a recently released drone video showcasing Apple Park. This footage provided a glimpse of various elements, including the Visitor Center, the restored historic barn, the pond now filled with water, and additional trees that have been planted. However, I’m uncertain whether this marks the final drone video we’ll see of Apple Park.
Attached is an image (http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/59/68/92/5206d44~ivr_baidu_autow600~.jpg) that offers a visual reference of what was captured.
According to recent reports from overseas media, Apple is imposing strict restrictions on drone flights within this region. There are even specialized security personnel tasked with preventing drones from flying and capturing footage in the area.
Currently, Apple Park hasn’t been designated as a no-fly zone by the FAA. Under existing FAA regulations, drones must remain at least 360 feet away from structures like buildings, and operators must always keep the drones within their line of sight.
If Apple can demonstrate that drone activity in the vicinity poses security risks or violates California’s privacy laws, they may find ways to further restrict drone flights in this area. Landing drones in private property or flying them into restricted zones could lead to legal issues regarding trespassing.
Since construction began three years ago, and as Apple Park approaches completion, we’ve witnessed numerous aerial videos and photos documenting its progress. With the new campus now operational, Apple might implement stricter measures to prevent drones from conducting further aerial photography due to concerns over security and privacy. As a result, future aerial videos of Apple Park might become increasingly rare, making each one all the more precious.
