LED bulb price falls at a minimum retail price of 18 USD

After that, although the decline narrowed, by the end of 2010, there were still two-digit declines per quarter. In the first quarter of 2011, the decline in LED bulbs was only slightly lower than 3%. In the second quarter, due to the impact of the earthquake, demand was heating up and prices were relatively firm.



The LEDinside Research Department stated that the drop in the price of LED bulbs has brought the price per 1,000 lumens from $83 in 2010 to the current average of about $52 per 1,000 lumens. At present, the initial price of LED bulbs is still much more expensive than that of ordinary bulbs. It is still too early for LED bulbs to completely replace energy-saving bulbs.

However, the continued decline in prices will help accelerate the growth of the LED Bulb application market.

At the same time, what can be observed on the market is that in addition to the phenomenon that the Japanese market has seen LED bulb sales surpass traditional bulbs in June, the low-cost bulb strategy of Korean brand manufacturers and the LED bulbs of companies such as Philips, Osram and GE in the global market The layout strategy has become increasingly apparent, and the alternative LED bulb market is likely to reach the mature markets in North America, Europe, etc. after it has blossomed in the Japanese market.
