VR Knowledge Science: What is Viveport Arcade?

Every evening before the weekend, everyone wondered where to go to High. Soon, the VR arcade experience will be a good choice for you to play bowling and watch movies.

Rivend Steiber, president of Viveport, recently announced at the Virtual Reality Developers Conference (VRDC) in San Francisco that HTC will launch Viveport Arcade, which is designed for offline experience activities such as VR Internet cafes and experience centers, aiming to accelerate the offline experience of VR lines. Operational management enables the correct acquisition of VR content while addressing location tracking and revenue distribution issues between operators and developers. This will be a crucial step in the development of VR Arcade for sustainability and legitimacy.

One of the biggest challenges facing VR arcade now is content licensing. When an arcade purchases a VR application via Steam or Oculus, arcade operators have no right to profit from game sales in a strict sense. Due to the lack of infrastructure, many existing VR arcades have not been licensed for game sales, and many people have never even realized it.

In order to make VR arcades legal, arcade operators must contact VR developers individually and negotiate pricing, usage, and license agreements. This is troublesome for arcade operators and developers.

HTC's Viveport Arcade is trying to find a solution to clarify the distribution of revenue between the operator and the developer while handling all billing and content acquisition. This means that if you have a high-end VR device and enterprise spirit, you can start to dig your own bucket of gold from the VR boom.

Viveport Arcade will first visit mainland China and Taiwan, China. HTC will promote Viveport Arcade to thousands of locations around the world next year.

Steam will also join the VR arcade content management camp. Recently Steam announced their new Steam website licensing program. Interested VR arcade operators can create special Steam accounts and get legitimate commercial use game licenses.

Now, investment in high-end virtual reality is still a bit risky. An HMD needs $800, and a top-rated computer costs more than $1,000. Consumers who have not experienced VR at home may not want to pay for it. However, at Viveland in Taipei, such a closed VR experience can return you to the feeling of playing arcade games before, spending about $12 and playing 30 minutes of games. Friends can share a room and participate in VR together. All of these make VR arcade back to the past.

In MGF Seattle, Alisa Kurt of Japanese game publisher COLOPL NI shared some interesting information about Chinese VR game scenarios. First, VR cyber cafes with VR experience have grown to 3,000. Second, the population of VR cyber cafes is diversified, and the proportion is usually quite similar. Third, multiplayer games have higher consumer prices. Fourth, the most popular top games in VR arcade are:

The Brookhaven Experiment

Work Simulator

Hover Junkers

Space Pirate Trainer

"laboratory"

Based on current interest in arcade games and the support of large companies on VR arcades, you may soon find a VR arcade in your community.
