China's electronic information industry's total revenue doubled in five years

According to Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, January 23 (Zhao Xiaohui, Wang Bingyang) — The head of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently revealed that preliminary data suggests China's large-scale electronic information industry is expected to generate a total revenue of 15.5 trillion yuan in 2015. This marks a significant increase, more than doubling the figures from 2010 and surpassing the growth achieved during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period. Over the past few years, the transformation and upgrading of the electronic information sector has gained momentum. Key areas such as integrated circuits, high-performance computing, flat-panel displays, and software have seen remarkable progress, with some technologies now at the forefront of global innovation. Meanwhile, Chinese companies have expanded into emerging fields like cloud computing, big data, mobile internet, and the Internet of Things, giving rise to globally recognized brands such as Huawei, Lenovo, ZTE, Alibaba, Baidu, and Tencent.
