CEVA Introduces ClearVox for Authorization of CEVA-TeakLite-4 and CEVA-X2 Audio/Voice DSP Cores

CEVA, Signal Processing IP Licensing Vendor for Smart and Connected Devices (NASDAQ: CEVA) Launched ClearVox, a new suite of advanced voice input processing algorithms designed to enhance voice intelligence for voice devices And clarity. ClearVox is licensed for the CEVA-TeakLite-4 and CEVA-X2 audio/voice DSP cores.

As voice becomes the primary user interface for cloud-based assistant services, voice signals must be kept clear in any environment to ensure the accuracy of session assistants such as Alexa, Baidu DuerOS, Bixby, Cortana, Google Assistant, and Siri. Headphones, smart speakers, cell phones, wearables, car infotainment systems, and home security systems are some of the markets that voice service providers and chip makers target. However, integrating and configuring complex algorithms such as multi-microphone beamforming, multi-channel echo cancellation, and noise suppression in their products exposes them to enormous technical hurdles.

CEVA introduces advanced software suite ClearVox to provide higher voice intelligence for voice devices

To reduce the significant barriers to entry in these markets, CEVA introduced the ClearVox voice input software suite. Developed internally by CEVA, ClearVox leverages CEVA's extensive expertise in audio and speech processing, using advanced algorithms to handle different acoustic scenes and microphone configurations, including speaker source direction, multi-mike beamforming Optimized software for noise suppression and echo cancellation, as well as associated firmware and driver software. ClearVox comes in two pre-packaged software formats: one for near-field applications including headsets and wearables, and one for far-field applications such as emerging smart speakers, infotainment and other advanced voice applications. The included SDKit allows customers to configure and use ClearVox based on unique product specifications such as the number and shape of the microphone, and the length of the echo tail.

CEVA Chief Technology Officer Erez Bar-Niv commented: "Voice input technology is the most complex and diverse algorithm in the design, but it has become an indispensable technology for every type of voice device. Our ClearVox technology makes full use of the beam. The latest academic research on shaping algorithms and signal source directions delivers truly outstanding and clear voice signals in any background noise, acoustic environment or product design. Our customers now have access to complete voice input from a single source Solutions, including DSP and software, reduce design complexity and time to market."
