Linear polarization and spiral polarization analysis of satellites

Satellite downlink signals generally have two polarizations: linear polarization and spiral polarization.

Linear polarization is further divided into horizontal 'H' polarization and vertical 'V' polarization; spiral polarization is further divided into right helix 'R' polarization and left helix 'L' polarization. Therefore, there is a correspondingly polarized tuner: a linearly polarized tuner and a spirally polarized tuner. I haven't seen the spiral-polarized high-frequency head. It should be the special high-frequency head that receives the spiral-polarized signal. 'Can the signal of the polarization of the line be reintroduced, please introduce it to the inside of the body, and receive the maximum of the spiral-polarized signal. The advantage is that it does not need to adjust the polarization angle, so it is very convenient to use! 1. Discrimination of two polarizations H and V of a linearly polarized tuner:

Generally, the high-frequency heads 'C and KU' are marked with a V-polarized scale; but not all scales are correct, so how to determine the correct polarization of the tuner? the way is:

Remove the plastic cover on the front of the tuner and you can see that there are two mutually perpendicular probes 'two polarized probes' and a slightly thicker struts. Consistent with the strut is the direction of the H polarization, and perpendicular to the strut is the direction of the V polarization.

2. The correct polarization placement method for the linearly polarized high frequency head to receive the linearized down-converted signal:

First determine the longitude of your location. If the satellite with the same longitude is in the south, 'this is the most important', then the V-pin in the tuner should be vertical up or down vertically; for example, The longitude of the place is 110.5E, then Xinnuo No.1 '110.5E' is in my south. When I accept Xinnuo No.1 '110.5E', the V-pin in my tuner should be vertical up' or Vertically placed 'down;

If the satellite to be received is not in the south, how many degrees your antenna is going east or west away from the south, then how often the tuner should turn east or west to 'about value', this is very important! 'I have been doing this for 6 years, never used a square and protractor'

3. Placement method of linearly polarized high frequency head receiving spiral polarization signal:

Generally there is no requirement for polarization, how to place it, and adding a polarizer is better, but the method like the second method will have the best effect!
