The TDK Group has recently introduced two series of EPCOS (Epcos) aluminum electrolytic capacitors B43640* and B43644* with a highly compact solder-chip design. They range in size from 22 x 25 mm to 35 x 55 mm (diameter x height) and are more compact than previous product lines with the same voltage rating and rated capacitance. At the same time, both new product lines feature extremely high ripple current capability.
The B43640* series is specified from 200 V DC to 450 V DC with a capacitance range of 82 μF to 3300 μF and a continuous operating life of up to 2000 hours at 105 °C. The B43644* series is suitable for voltage ranges from 200 V DC to 500 V DC and capacitances from 39 μF to 2700 μF. It can last up to 5000 hours of continuous operation at 105 °C.
Due to their more compact form factor, two new series of chip capacitors are suitable for use as link capacitors in compact inverters, photovoltaic inverters and industrial power supplies.
