Samsung has turned its attention to large-screen high-end TVs, and analysts predict that Samsung will lead this large-screen high-end TV market this year. The South Korean technology giant has applied for two new trademarks, one of which is called "Giant TV", suggesting that Samsung will launch a TV product with a huge display.
Recently, Samsung applied to the European Union's Intellectual Property Office (European Union's Intellectual Property Office) for "Super Size TV" and "Giant TV" two major trademarks. It is worth mentioning that the trademark application itself does not guarantee Samsung's next move. The application did not disclose when Samsung will launch the giant TV.
At the CES 2018 show earlier this month, Samsung launched its first 146-inch MicroLED "The Wall" TV. The Wall uses Micro LED self-luminous display technology, and traditional LCD TVs require backlight and color filters. Different pixels, each pixel of Micro LED can be addressed and can be driven by a single point to emit light. Unfortunately, Samsung did not disclose how many models the TV will have, nor did it disclose the price of this TV. In the spring of this year, Samsung will further announce the information of this TV.
Although The Wall has been unveiled at CES 2018, then, this means that this TV is not far from mass production, so Samsung's application for the trademark of the giant screen TV is also reasonable.
