The 1B32's compact package and its high reliability make it an ideal choice for portable pressure sensing systems. Since 1B32 requires a negative supply, a practical circuit that produces a negative voltage is shown. A CMOS TLC555 timer is driven with the positive terminal of the +12V battery. The typical supply current of the timer is 360μA. The output of this timer is a square wave, and then rectified and filtered to obtain a -9V power supply. The excitation voltage of 1B32 should be equal to or less than +9V in order to leave the adjustment margin.
