The EPCOS MKP B3267*P* series of film capacitors from the TDK Group has a very small volume, for example a capacitance of 1 μF and a voltage rating of 450 V DC. The capacitance is extremely high and the lead spacing is only 10 mm, only 8.0 x 17.5 x 13.0 mm3. Compared to previous capacitive models with lead spacing of 15 mm, the volume is reduced by approximately 40%.
The lead spacing for the new product line is 10 mm, 15 mm and 22.5 mm. They are rated at 450 V DC, 520 V DC and 630 V DC, with capacitance values ​​ranging from 68 nF to 2.2 μF, suitable for continuous operation at 125 °C. The plastic housing of this product range meets UL 94 V-0 specifications and is available in halogen-free versions upon request.
Typical applications for this family of capacitors are ballasts, rectified output filter capacitors for LED power supplies and switching power supplies, or passive PFC capacitors.
