Some time ago, during the commissioning of a project, the communication performance of the industrial Ethernet with star structure was found to be poor, whether the data transmission speed between the substations in the local area or between the upper and the local substations was extremely slow. Even some of the control functions can not be achieved, it seems that the network problem must be solved!
After a long period of thinking and experimentation, I finally solved the problem in the following three ways, and wrote it out to share with you.
1) The local plc adopts the Momentum series module and the programming adopts Concept2.6. Change the Read_Reg function block used to read data from each other in the original program to CRead_Reg, and let the module automatically read the required data continuously;
2) The original sub-station is an equal relationship, regardless of the primary and secondary. A and B stations read data from each other, A reads B, and B also reads A, which easily forms a network blockage. After the improvement, a sub-station is mainly used, and he initiates a read/write operation, reads the required data from the other party, and writes the data required by the other party.
3) Optimize the data transmission part of the original local program, and improve the original use of the read and write function blocks into a single read and write consecutive multiple registers.
Through the above several measures, the network communication problem has been successfully solved!
