ARM Cortex-R52 exclusive car safety management program available

ARM said OpenSynergy is developing the industry's first software management program for its state-of-the-art real-time security processor, the ARM® Cortex®-R52. The hypervisor turns any Cortex-R52-based chip into a virtual machine and can perform different software tasks simultaneously. For the ever-increasing complexity of chips in devices such as driverless and industrial control systems, this approach isolates safety-critical features from features that do not require tight control. In addition, it can integrate applications into fewer electronic control units (ECUs) to manage complexity and reduce costs.

Richard York, vice president of embedded marketing at ARM, said: "The unmanned vehicles for the mass market will be given significantly enhanced ECU computing power and the ability to safely manage more complex software stacks. To this end, the Cortex-R52 comes into being with the help of hypervisors. Software isolation is achieved to protect critical safety functions while ensuring rapid execution of tasks. This way, for high-performance cars, we will be able to safely hand over the driving tasks to the autonomous driving system."

Stevean Sonck Thiebaut, CEO of OpenSynergy, said: "The Cortex-R52 will use virtualization technology for a wider range of automotive devices. We are looking forward to supporting the next generation of automotive architecture."

The Cortex-R52 not only imports hardware virtualization support into the Cortex-R processor family, but also maintains all the necessary functions for hard real-TIme systems. Maintaining absolute execution in virtual machines provides the best solution for the challenges of helping multiple robot-related applications run multiple real-time operating systems simultaneously.

The OpenSynergy software architecture is suitable for microcontrollers such as domain controllers. The hypervisor technology supports simultaneous operation of multiple real-time operating systems and different ASIL-level AUTOSAR systems on the ARM Cortex-R52.

in accordance of the Voltage range of the inverter, the PV boards can be installed in series to meet the input voltage of inveter, and several such series to be installed in parallel, to input into the combiner. The current goes through lightenling protection and breaker equipment, then ouput for connection with inverter. We strongly suggest the users to follow all the necessery safety regulation, take all the safefy masures mentioned in the manual, to lower the possibility of danger, make sure of the personal safety.
